An Oliphaunt
This is another photo from my trip to the St. Louis Zoo, and what visit to the zoo would be complete without seeing the elephants?
I couldn’t get a sense of how big this guy was, there weren’t any reference subjects around him for scale. The ole Nikon 80-200mm worked really well for this range and the apparent size of the subject.
It is quickly becoming my favorite lens.
Some other people seemed to like my camera as well. I had one person offer me to trade cameras, and a random zoo employee said to me “I like your camera, sir.”
I felt like a celebrity…
…a little bit.
My husband and I were just at the St. Louis Zoo on July 9th! It was our first time—what a great zoo. This is a wonderful shot, too!
Thanks Amber, I agree, it is a great zoo, and free admission too!
I had a guy say “I have camera envy” the other day at Pike’s Peak. It felt pretty good! Nice shot!
You’re out in Colorado? Cool! How long are/were you out there?
