Harvesting Soybeans

Harvesting SoybeansHarvesting Soybeans

I recently moved back to Central Illinois. You can’t drive any direction from town without going through miles of corn and soybean fields. The gray days that go from November to February are hard, but I think the open plains are very beautiful. Right now is the tail end of harvest. I went on a long bike ride through the country and saw several farmers out harvesting.

I stopped to photograph this combine harvesting soybeans.

This one is a bit more experimental. Is a pseudo-HDR with several filters and texture overlays. I want this picture to have a classic sort of look.

  1. Can we visit over Christmas or Thanksgiving break and teach me how to be like the master. You are so damn good!

    • We’ll see what we can do. A lot of it is just taking pictures and really reflecting on what works and what doesn’t.

  2. Another good photo from you. The selective coloring works well. I should be more active in the blog-world such that I dont miss all the good photos 🙂
